No Money for Music: Week of October 27

It’s great to be able to listen to a variety of songs on iTunes Radio. However, over the years my music library has accumulated all sorts of downloads based on free giveaways. I even got a Kanye West song on Halloween. After the break, see the songs with the album art and the descriptions Google and Apple wrote for them.

iTunes Single of the Week

24 Hours
Sky Ferreira

Disillusioned with L.A.’s entertainment scene, 20-year-old model/recording artist Sky Ferreira sought greener pastures in New York City, where she worked on the songs for her edgy electro-pop debut album Night Time, My Time. “24 Hours” is a wall of distorted electro bliss, amplified by huge, resonant drums. To the reverberating rhythm of burbling synthesizers, Ferreira pleads for more time with detached cool, conjuring Blondie’s New Wave masterpiece “11:59.”
