No Money for Music: November 11 - 17

For the past few weeks, I have been keeping track of some free music downloads from Google Play and iTunes. I might be putting too much effort into assembling the lists, so I might want to treat this like more than a monthly effort. Here are the free music downloads I found for the week of November 11, 2012. 

Rayman Legends First Impressions

Nintendo is set to release its new console on Sunday. The main drive of the new Nintendo product is that the controller has a tablet screen. I got the chance to play some of the new system’s upcoming titles at an invitation event called the Wii U Experience. While I enjoyed the standard Mario platformer at the event, one game in particular surprised me. The demo of Rayman Legends showed me what a third party mascot-driven platformer would feel like on Nintendo’s new system.

Last week I might have taken a break, but the music keeps coming. Here are the free music downloads for the week of September 24, 2012 from the various digital download venues. Maybe next time I'll look for more than Google's and Apple's offerings.

I really enjoy adventure games. There’s just something about exploring the unknown that makes me want to sit down hours for a time and enjoy the experience. These days people are interested in shooters, so one Xbox Live Arcade title seeks to deliver both an action adventure and an action shooter.

No Money for Music: September 9 - 15, 2012

Every week I have been checking iTunes to find out whatever free content they put up each week. I have amassed over 5 GB of music just for clicking a promotional download link. Google Play also does this, so I now have even more music to listen to at my leisure. Here’s a short list of what was free this week.
